📰 HISTORIC NEWS: We’re thrilled to be boosting #Philadelphia’s arts and culture sector with an $8 million grant to the Philadelphia Cultural Fund! A trusted resource among the city's arts ecosystem for 31 years, PCF will use the grant to manage a four-year initiative providing small arts and culture organizations with general operating support funds and capacity strengthening services. Not only is this the first time PCF has received money outside of its allocation from the city’s budget, but it will go on to create crucial support for 200+ organizations with budgets under $1.5 million. Senior Program Officer Kellie Brown joined colleagues and stakeholders convened by Pennsylvania’s Early Learning Investment Commission for the recent Child Care Innovation Forum in Harrisburg. Over the last year, she and the innovation team dedicated thought leadership to examine ways to advance solutions for early learning and its workforce in Pennsylvania. When young children participate in quality early learning programs, they are more likely to experience success in their elementary school years and beyond. What a great day of “igniting innovation” around child care in Pennsylvania last week at the PA ELIC Child Care Innovation Forum at the Keystone Building in Harrisburg. A big thank you to the innovation team (i-team) for their dedication and thought leadership throughout this year-long project. Their commitment to finding solutions for child care in Pennsylvania has been inspiring, and we look forward to sharing more updates about the forum and the work ahead to "find, generate, and raise significant and recurring revenue" for early care and education (and its workforce) in Pennsylvania! #IgnitingInnovation #InvestEarly Bree Gillespie Jen Reiner Grace Franks Janetta Radzinski Kellie Brown Rachel Smith Karen Grimm-Thomas Leah Spangler, Ed.D.
