Dhamna ki shaan - Swacchta A simple artwork by yours truly 😊 One of the main reasons why people throw waste carelessly everywhere outside is because of a psychological disconnect with their surroundings. Here I explore the feeling of pride in your own village. The famous dustbins convey the pride that the villagers in Dhamna feel about their village. And although things are far from perfect, I hoped this playful piece would affect some change. Atleast Maya didi, on who's homestay we painted this piece was very proud. Especially because I sketched her exact house into the piece on the wall as well. This was not just a place where I painted a wall. It is where the Wicked Broz team stayed for 2 weeks and travelled all over #PannaTigerReserve The mudhouse, the morning tea, the farms nearby, the friendship we struck up with Maya's household. Too precious a moment to forget. Project in partnership with Saahas. More pieces to be revealed in the coming days. Eye of the Tiger! (That's not a print, it's hand painted) Realistic mural by Aftab Ahmad Shah and his best buddy Ravi at MPT - Jungle camp, right next to #PannaTigerReserve main gate in Madla. There is something about zooming into someone's eyes, that reveals everything about them. So what if you look into the eye of the tiger, would he be happy to look back and see you do good things? Wouldn't you like to be at your best behaviour in front of the king of the jungle? Thank you Saahas for letting us go wild with ideas and showcase waste management awareness in a new light. Heere Me Kachra Nahi, Toh Panna Me Kyu? On the way to the Hinauta gate of the #PannaTigerReserve, I painted this cute little wall of the aunty who runs a corner shop. Think about it. #Panna, where #diamonds are found in villages, is also where the #trash is accumulating. Every tourist and every villager passes by here and we wish everyone one of them ponders over this as much as the tigers who roam the territory. The overall perspective of this was the most challenging part of the artwork. The graffiti typeface, the actual map of Panna, the clouds, the vibrant colour palette and ofcourse the inquisitive tiger pretending to be a jeweller. How could we aesthetically combine everything into a single visual? Super proud of what I achieved with this artwork. ................................... Project in collaboration with Saahas For 20 days our Wicked Broz team roamed the villages around the jungle, creating awareness about a topic that is yet to fully take over this nature reserve. Hinauta was one of the first places we visited on our trip and what a beautiful trip it was. The fear and excitement of the tiger was palpable but the big cats thankfully would wait for us another day. Until then, I was happy just painting them on the walls😅 More artworks in your newsfeed soon. Omkar Dhareshwar Vijayeta Tilak Wilma Rodrigues #wastemanagement #graffiti #streetart #mural #wallart

Ise Kon Rokega? Presenting the first of our many artworks that Wicked Broz painted for Saahas in and around #PannaTigerReserve in #MadhyaPradesh. Situated in Hinauta village, adjacent to one of the main entry points of the reserve, this wall questions everyone about a problem that exists everywhere. Waste is a monster and we need an army to stand against it. It is the first story that I dreamt of many years ago when I thought about the issue of waste management. A monster born in the dumpyards is making his way towards our settlements. Can the proper use of dustbins be the first line of resistance? Keep following my daily series starting today, as I reveal our artworks and share with you my experience of a road trip in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh, raising awareness with the Saahas team about the problem of waste. Artwork by Aftab Ahmad Shah along with his best buddy Ravi. #wallart #streetart #graffiti Vijayeta Tilak Wilma Rodrigues Omkar Dhareshwar

So this is what it feels like to make your teachers proud. Last week in Pathankot I met my old class teacher from Xth class. Mrs Sulbha Singh. She is still doing what she did when I was 15 years old. Encouraging me to do what I love with her at the back supporting. I made a mural with the kids at her new school DPS Pathankot. She had called me especially to show the children and parents at the Literary fest that art can feed. It's an alternate career you can successfully pursue and live the life of your dreams. She let me make whatever I wanted and for 3 days looked after me like a mother with the rest of the school staff going out of their way to keep me comfortable and helping me with the mural. I'll post more pictures from the trip to Pathankot soon but this post is my thank you to her and to all the teachers who made my life journey worth it. When you hear your teacher proudly talk to others about their student, you know you've done some things right. "Thanks dear Zain . Honouring my request and the amazing art you leave as a legacy for us is your most rewarding reward for me . Take care till we meet again" - Mrs Sulbha Singh Wicked Broz

Wicked Broz of the day! As I've travelled down for a wall art workshop with kids in DPS Pathankot, I'm flooded with memories of yesteryears. I was almost this young, with almost the same confident smile as these children. Eyes full of dreams and feet ready to go anywhere. Somethings happened along the way. Some sweet, some sad. No hard feelings, no regrets. Nothing is a waste of time. Flow into the future. Now I'm clicking a photograph of myself. Different story, different time but almost the same smile, same dreams and same feet. Oh younglings! Tomorrow we paint!
