About us
Whole Intent was born from the realization that nutrition and fitness are pillars of our overall wellness. Our founder and lead trainer, Ashlee Van Buskirk, has worked as a rehabilitation nurse for 15 years across a variety of private companies, and through those experiences, Ashlee has seen patient after patient getting stuck in a lifetime of medications that never get them back to 100%. With an extensive education in nutrition and an abundance of nursing expertise, Ashlee considered Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, which categorizes nutrition as a fundamental requirement for the human body. Without proper nutrition, we cannot attain the higher levels of achievement. As a fitness competitor, Ashlee was attuned to the vast amounts of misinformation that is out there surrounding fitness, nutrition, and weight loss. It was at this point that she decided to share her expertise with the community and started Whole Intent. Whole Intent is a Denver-based organization, providing one-on-one personal training, group training, specialized skill training, and nutrition coaching. Whole Intent comes to the fitness and nutrition scene with a fresh approach that helps people develop habits that can be sustained throughout their lifetime. The Whole Intent method does away with fad workouts and yo-yo dieting that leave you unsatisfied.
