Mark your calendars for another great West Michigan AI Lab event on January 15th! We kick off the year with Drew Colthorp at Atomic Object. https://lnkd.in/gzTBdMFR Never Lose a Thought: Using AI to Keep Knowledge at Your Fingertips If you’re tired of digging through old notes, missing important details, or spending hours trying to get everyone on the same page, this talk is for you. We’ll look at how AI—particularly large language models and emerging approaches like OpenAI’s “o1” model—can capture, organize, and surface the knowledge you need, right when you need it. Learn how to automatically transcribe meetings so you can stay present, effortlessly summarize key insights, and build an evolving knowledge base that keeps everyone aligned. It’s about freeing yourself from information overload so you can focus on the creative, high-impact work that really matters. Drew Colthorp is a seasoned software development leader with nearly two decades of experience at Atomic Object, a consultancy that crafts innovative software products. As the Practice Lead of Development, Drew empowers Atomic's developers to deliver exceptional results for clients while fostering rewarding careers. His leadership philosophy centers on equipping people with the tools and skills to analyze, take ownership, and thrive in their roles. #AITechnology #TechTalks #Innovation #TheRightPlace

Join us at the next West Michigan AI LAB event as we are pleased to announce that Ben Jacques from SpinDance will be presenting on November 20th at our location hosted by Autocam Medical @ Western Michigan University. "There's No I in AI Team: Leveraging Multiple AI Personas to Mimic Collective Intelligence" As humans, we've long known that certain problems are solved better by a team than by one individual. Bringing different backgrounds and perspectives to a situation can help come up with creative solutions that others didn't even think about. Additionally, we all have different goals or objectives that we tend to focus on or ways that we think. Does the same mantra "Teamwork makes the dream work" apply to AI as well? In this talk, we'll explore a way of using a collection of AI personalities to function as a team. We'll demonstrate this by spinning up a virtual company with a CEO, CFO, engineer, tester, and designer. While each "persona" may use the same underlying model, giving them individual goals and approaches while forcing them to work together can yield better results. I'll also show some techniques for how you can apply this same idea to your problems. The parking options are: street parking throughout the neighborhood (enforced until 7pm, I believe), and the Cherry-Commerce parking ramp (light blue structure) just opposite our building on Cherry Street - which has a rate of $2/half hour. https://lnkd.in/gPVw6pte #AITechnology #TechTalks #Innovation
