Over the past decade, the number of Hispanic business owners grew by 34%, compared to just 1% growth among all business owners in the United States. Jacqueline is part of this wave of growth, transforming her career and expanding her Human Resources consulting firm with the help of Mi Casa Resource Center's Avanzando to Good Jobs program. After a friend's recommendation, Jacqueline enrolled in the program and gained valuable skills in her field, like developing job analysis, creating job descriptions and mastering interviewing techniques. With guidance from career coaches, she refined her resume, prepared for interviews and expanded her network, securing a contract position while continuing to grow her business. The program reignited Jacqueline’s confidence, inspiring her to pursue a Business Pathways Certificate at Metro State University. Now, with hands-on experience and new opportunities, she’s positioning her business for even greater success. We are proud to support programs that empower individuals like Jacqueline to transform their careers and contribute to the growing impact of Hispanic business owners. #UnidosUS

Mass deportations come with a massive cost. Deporting 8.3 million workers from key industries like agriculture and construction would: 📉 Reduce GDP by $5 trillion over 10 years 📈 Drive up food, housing and inflation costs ❌ Undermine job prospects for U.S.-born workers Instead of costly and ineffective measures, legalizing undocumented individuals can grow the economy and create jobs. Our latest blog explains why legal pathways are the best action. 🔗 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/ewDgZABd #UnidosUS

Latinos are expected to account for 78% of net new workers between 2020 and 2030, yet many face persistent barriers when entering the workforce. That’s where we, alongside our #AffiliatesUnidos, step in to make a difference. Through our partnership with One Stop Career Center Of PR, Adriel enrolled in our Avanzando to Good Jobs program, discovering his passion for aviation mechanics. The program equipped him with the technical and soft skills needed to launch his career. After completing nine months of thorough training, Adriel earned a position as an apprentice with Lufthansa Technik. With guidance and resources, including transportation and lodging, he was able to focus fully on his development, building the confidence and expertise required for a successful future. Now equipped with a strong work ethic and the tools for growth, Adriel is ready to soar in the aviation industry. Programs like Avanzando to Good Jobs continue to make a meaningful difference by empowering individuals to reach new heights. #UnidosUS
