We are feeling an enormous amount of gratitude as we turn the last pages of the calendar on this year. From celebrating so many new and seasoned members of the OHI family to advocating for our industry in D.C. with more and more wins each time we put our boots on the hill - everything we do is for you. Our community is ever-growing, and our members are our North Star. In so many ways, 2024 was OHI’s most extraordinary year yet. A few highlights: 🗳️ Hosted our first ever at-large Board of Directors election with a record number of new board member applications 🎉 Achieved (and awarded!) a record number of scholarship applications 🫶 Awarded a record number of disaster relief grants for parks in need 💕 Shifted our business model to offer more member choice 🚜 Brought more discounts to you through our supplier network ☕️ Introduced more ways to connect to your community with O-hi Coffee Conversations 🐥 Grew the Young Professional’s group and started monthly Happy Hours for networking 👯 Introduced a Small But Mighty 20 Group And so much more. All for the sole purpose of supporting your RV park and campground, and our unique industry. It’s been a big year, but there’s always more to do - and we’re excited for what’s next! There are some really special things coming in 2025, but we didn’t want to miss a chance to reminisce on an incredible 2024. We’re thrilled to have you along for the OHI journey, and look forward to supporting you in the year ahead. Here’s to safe & happy holidays and New Year.

Parks located in the listed formerly partnering states who have yet to renew their national OHI membership for the 2025 calendar year are at risk of losing access to their benefits come January 1, 2025. Previously, members in these states paid dues to their state association for both state and national dues. Moving forward, members now have the choice to join both associations separately—meaning they receive a separate bill from OHI for national dues and a separate bill for state dues. Learn more about renewing at OHI.org/Renew. Alaska Arizona Colorado Connecticut Illinois Indiana Kansas Louisiana Maine Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Missouri New Jersey North Carolina Ohio Pennsylvania South Carolina South Dakota Virginia Wisconsin If not renewed, national OHI memberships will expire Dec 31, 2024, and all benefit access will be forfeited. Renew your membership by visiting portal.ohi.org/Invoices.

Deborah Carter, CPO, OHC, Executive Director of the Maryland Association of Campground and Owner & Operator, of Buttonwood Beach R.V. Resorts in Earleville, Maryland shares what being a member of OHI means to her. And we both agree. Membership at the national and state level is important. As a reminder, 2025 dues for your state association and OHI, your national association, will be paid separately. Previously partnering state members paid membership dues, which included state and national dues, directly to your state association. Under our new membership model, your dues for national membership for the 2025 calendar year will be paid directly to OHI.Find out more about why you should renew by the December 31 deadline at OHI.org/Renew. We strongly encourage membership at both the state and national level. The more plugged in you are to professional development and networking opportunities at the state and national level, the better we all run our businesses. And the better we run our businesses, the happier campers are, the happier campers are the more they camp and everybody wins. 🎉

Small park, full of heart, can't lose. And that's just what Katie McLeod did this year! Quilly’s Big Fish RV Park, co-owned by Katie McLeod and her father Orrin, has been recognized as a standout in outdoor hospitality, tying for first place in the prestigious Small Park of the Year category at OHCE®2024. Quilly’s Big Fish RV Park began as a family venture. Katie and her father partnered to purchase their first park in 2021. Within that year, they acquired not one, but three parks, including Quilly’s Big Fish RV Park. The early days were a whirlwind of learning and growth, but their shared passions and goals never wavered. Learn more about Katie and her incredible journey from National School graduate to Small Park of the Year winner here 👉 https://lnkd.in/egXMwXAC

ATTN All RV Parks & Campgrounds That Take Credit Card Payments 💳 This affects you directly. We're breaking down how, what OHI is doing about it, and what you can do, too. 📜 The Credit Card Competition Act (S. 1838) Visa and Mastercard’s market dominance and network structure have allowed them to impose some of the highest fees on U.S. merchants globally, totaling over $100 billion in credit card fees in 2023—most of which directly impact small, family-owned businesses like OHI members. These fees consist of interchange fees, which small businesses pay to issuing banks, and network fees, paid directly to Visa and Mastercard. Ultimately, these costs are passed on to consumers through higher prices for goods and services. Julia Jones and her husband run Mecca Camp Resort RV Park, a 33-site campground in Tellico Plains, TN. They pay $12,000 a year in credit card swipe fees, which negatively affects the bottom line for their business. In advocating for the Credit Card Competition Act, our goal is to support legislation that promotes fairness and helps our industry thrive. And we're on the ground in D.C. right now with 14 OHI members doing just that. We’re meeting with Senators from Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. What Can You Do Now? 👉 Share this post to spread the word about what’s going on. 👉 Check your emails for more opportunities to travel to D.C. with OHI.
