If you had to guess which one of these baby-faced surety lawyers is retiring today, I suspect I might get some votes! And as much as I've tried to convince him to let me take his place, I am here to report with a complicated mix of gratitude, sadness, and pure denial that Bradford Carver is retiring today from an incomparable 45 year career. Difficult to say anything here that will do justice to what Brad has meant to his clients, his colleagues, and the bar. For my part, Brad selflessly offered 21 years of unfailing mentoring, friendship, and absolute professional and personal support. He is responsible for my career and I am forever grateful. We all learned so much from Brad about how to be an advocate, a professional, accountable, humble, forgiving, and at all times how to hang on to our sense of humor.
