Doug’s journey began alongside his father, spending summers during school and college immersing himself in the world of pavement. Those early experiences laid a solid foundation, and after ten years as a contractor, Doug took a significant step forward by joining the Stepp Manufacturing, VSS Macropaver, and KASI Infrared team—a decision he says he’s never looked back on. Doug’s role has taken him across the country, meeting customers, understanding their unique needs, and sharing his extensive knowledge. “The greatest thing about working here is the ability to travel, meet new customers, and learn about their operations,” Doug shared. This connection with people and the pavement preservation community continues to drive his enthusiasm for the work. When he’s not busy supporting customers, Doug enjoys a variety of hobbies. He has a keen eye for antiquing, enjoys walks in the park with his French Bulldog aptly named Spud, and takes pride in growing various crops. Above all, Doug values time spent with his significant other, Jesse.
