Our mission is simple but ambitious: dramatically reduce the time it takes developers to deploy AI voice agents to production. This journey is personal for me - just two months ago, I was in the trenches myself, spending days testing edge cases only to see my voice agents still struggle with 50% of production calls. The early feedback from our users has been incredibly encouraging. While we're making solid progress in simplifying the voice agent development process, our ultimate vision is to enable developers to launch production-ready agents in just minutes. We know we're still at the beginning of this journey. There's so much ground to cover, but seeing the positive impact we're already having on developers' workflows drives us to keep pushing forward. In March, I took a leap of faith and left my job to pursue a vision in AI. The first crucial step? Finding the right co-founders who shared my passion. I couldn't be more fortunate to have Sidhant Kabra and Tarush Agarwal join me on this adventure. What followed was a masterclass in entrepreneurship: we explored 20+ ideas across healthcare, robotics and others, constantly learning and adapting. The breakthrough came unexpectedly while building voice agents for law firms. We noticed a critical pain point: 80% of our time was spent just testing these agents. This revelation led to a pivotal conversation with our Y Combinator group partner, Nicolas Dessaigne. His words stuck with us: "Why build a billion-dollar company when you can build a 100-billion-dollar one?" We're tackling a massive challenge in the conversational AI space, and we're just getting started. Sometimes the best ideas come from solving your own problems. It's been 4 weeks since we started building Vocera AI (YC F24) publicly as part of the historic Y Combinator Fall batch! Last week, we closed more customers than all previous weeks combined. As I am reflecting on this week (and gearing up for next 😛), I realise the impact YC had on me so far. I learned (and unlearned) a lot by speaking to my customers, co-founders, YC partners and alumni. The best part has been the office hours (therapy sessions) with Nicolas Dessaigne and our group partners. It is a true source of balance, offering encouragement when we need it, constructive critique when we’re off track, and the space to express ourselves.
