New year, new focus on #MentalHealth 🌟 As we enter the new year, let’s prioritize what truly matters – our mental health. While many of us set goals for fitness, finances, or personal growth, it’s equally important to make resolutions that support our well-being and mental health. Here are a few ways to kickstart a healthier mindset in 2025: 💬 Practice Gratitude – Start each day by acknowledging something you’re grateful for. 🧘 Prioritize Self-Care – Whether it’s taking a walk, reading, or meditating, make time for yourself. 💚 Seek Support – Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Therapy or support groups can be life-changing. 💪 Set Realistic Goals – Break big resolutions into manageable steps, and celebrate your progress. Your mental health matters every day, not just during the new year. Let’s make 2025 a year of growth, self-compassion, and well-being. 💙

As 2024 comes to a close, we’re excited to reflect on an incredible year of growth and innovation for the Connect Alabama App. This year, we rolled out several impactful features to better serve our users and strengthen access to behavioral health resources across the state. A Crisis Center Map was created to help individuals locate crisis centers across the state. New self-screeners have been added to allow users to assess their behavioral health, including screenings for anxiety, depression, suicide risk, nicotine use, and substance use. Additionally, vaping information has been incorporated to provide users with important educational information and resources on this topic. The app has also expanded its offerings with veteran-specific content, ensuring that veterans have access to relevant information and support. Finally, a new Request to Connect feature allows providers and agencies to request inclusion in the app’s service directory, making it easier for users to find available resources. We’re proud to connect Alabamians to the resources they need and we can't wait for more growth in 2025. Download the app today on the App Store or Google Play! #ConnectAlabama

Make it a night to remember – not regret... As you plan your New Year’s Eve celebrations, remember that a great night starts and ends with safety. Drunk driving puts lives at risk, and the consequences can last far beyond the stroke of midnight. Here’s how to celebrate responsibly: ✅ Plan ahead: Arrange for a designated driver, rideshare, or public transportation. ✅ Stay the night: If you’re celebrating at a friend’s house, consider crashing there. ✅ Keep an eye out: Don’t let friends drive drunk—help them find a safe way home. Together, we can keep our roads safe and ensure everyone starts the New Year on a positive note. Let’s make 2025 a year of good decisions, starting now. #NationalImpairedDrivingPreventionMonth

Every day, about 37 people in the United States die in drunk-driving crashes — that's one person every 39 minutes. This holiday season, let’s work together to make sure everyone gets home to their families safe and sound. Plan ahead — designate a sober driver, use a rideshare service, or stay where you are if you've been drinking. December is National Impaired Driving Prevention Month, and we all have a role to play in saving lives. 💡 Remember: Your choices matter. Let’s make the holidays about joy, not tragedy.
