  • It’s #SpotlightSaturday, and today we’re shining the spotlight on Senior Center Administrative Assistant, Helen Cooke! Helen has been a dedicated member of the Senior Services Division within the Health and Human Services Department since 2014. If you’ve ever called the Arlington Heights Senior Center to ask a question or register for a program, chances are you’ve spoken to Helen! In her role, she manages the building calendar, coordinates room setups, oversees accounts payable, registers patrons for programs, and books appointments for popular services, including the Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) and AARP Tax-Aide. Her favorite part of the job? “We have a one-of-a-kind Senior Center,” Helen said. “I enjoy educating our patrons about the many wonderful programs and services we offer, telling them about the seven other agencies in our building, and helping to create a warm and welcoming environment for our patrons.” Thank you, Helen, for your continued commitment to making the Senior Center a welcoming place for all! 👏

  • This Christmas Eve morning, off duty members of the Arlington Heights Fire Department and their families helped spread cheer by providing holiday meals to local families in need. This years-long tradition is made possible through donations from the Arlington Heights Firefighters Union Local 3105 and Fire Administration staff. The families are selected by the Village's Health and Human Services Department through the Holiday Assistance Program.

  • Happy Holidays! As a reminder, Village Offices are closed today and will reopen tomorrow, Thursday, December 26th. The Village recently hosted a holiday breakfast for all employees to show gratitude for our hardworking staff. From grab-and-go sliders, to French toast, it was a chance to pause and show appreciation for this past year's accomplishments. As we look forward to 2025, we're reminded how the collective dedication of our team members makes a difference in the community every day. • That’s a wrap on the Arlington Heights Fire Department's 13th annual coat drive! Thanks to the generosity of the community, the Fire Department collected and sorted over 1,000 coats, which were distributed between the Village of Arlington Heights Health & Human Services Department, Arlington Heights School District 25 and Community Consolidated School District 59, St. James School Arlington Heights, and WINGS Resale Stores. This collective effort helps support families in need. 🤝🌟
