Paradigm Shift! BYU's record-breaking $7M NIL Deal to land #1 recruit AJ Dybantsa could be a game-changer for the future of their program. Will this rewrite the rules of college basketball and create more opportunities for mid-major programs? Will there ever be a limit on these kinds of NIL offers? What do you think? #NIL #collegesports #athletics #basketball #sportsbiz

The inaugural 12-team college football playoffs are underway, marking a significant evolution in the sport. As the stakes rise, it will be fascinating to observe how teams adapt to this new format and the resulting impact on the game. Notably, this expanded playoff structure is expected to allocate a substantial $116 million to conferences and teams, further demonstrating the growing economic influence of college athletics. #SportsBiz #CFB #Athletes #FinTech

🚨 New Episode 🚨 Yves Batoba and Parker Graham, founders of Vestible, make it possible for fans to directly invest in the careers of their favorite athletes. 🎧➡️ https://lnkd.in/gV9PnJdg I collected baseball cards as kid. I still remember the excitement of saving up that $1 and heading out the drugstore to get a fresh pack. Then carefully opening the wax paper, popping the worst piece of gum ever conceived into my mouth, and sorting through the trove of 15 cards and PRAYING that I’d get a player from the Boston Red Sox. There was just something about having a picture of that player in your hand, and pouring over his stats, whether he hit righty or lefty, his nickname, and more. It somehow made me feel closer to the player and the game. Connected, even. Yves Batoba and Parker Graham, the founders of Vestible, have taken that small idea of connectedness, and breathed fresh and compelling life into it. That’s because Vestible gives fans the ability to make investment directly into their favorite athletes in return for a share of their future earnings. At the beginning of this NFL season, Denver Broncos LB Baron Browning became Vestible's first athlete IPO, generating over $650K in the offering. Many more athletes are following. In our conversation, Yves and Parker recall reconnecting after their playing days at Oklahoma State came to an end, how they came up with the concept that became Vestible, their advice for other sports entrepreneurs, and much more. We’ll even test their knowledge about their alma mater Oklahoma State University in the lightning round. It’s…. interesting. #sportsbiz #sportsbusiness #entrepreneur #athleteinvestor #sportspodcast #vestible

When there are only two days for a business trip, we have to maximize it and get as much face time as we can. Some are new connections, some are old ones, but we strongly believe that the best way to cultivate a relationship is with proximity. In this digital world we live in, there’s a lot of value in being in person. #StartupLife #SportsBiz #FinTech

Of the many points to be made in Mike Tomlin’s case for Coach of the Year, the biggest so far is this: the bold and (at the time) unpopular decision to start Russell Wilson. Tomlin is making smart decisions, fostering young talent, devising strong defensive schemes to limit players and exceeding preseason expectations 🔥📈
