This week VT-SGI welcomed 10 new trainees to our New Hire Academy for the Kansas City metro area. Over the next 3 weeks they will complete the Federal Protective Service PSONLP ( Protective Security Officer National Lesson Plan). We are excited to have these 10 candidates join our team!

Congrats to all 12 of our April New Hires on successfully passing the DHS Firearm Qualification course last Friday! This qualification can be stressful and daunting to someone who is unfamiliar with it so we are pleased that this class was a 100% pass.

We are saddened by the senseless act of violence that occurred outside of Union Station at the conclusion of the parade and rally. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their families, and all of Kansas City. It's times like yesterday's tragic events at the Chiefs celebration rally that we in the security profession are reminded that vigilance is of the utmost importance. As a citizen, you ARE a first responder. If you see something say something. We also want to commend our PSOs on duty at the IRS and NARA facilities that are located where the events took place. They showed professionalism and represented VT-SGI well. We also would like to recognize our client, the Federal Protective Service and their officers who were among the first on the scene. They performed admirably.

VT-SGI has on-going needs for qualified security personnel in both the Kansas City metro area and St. Louis area. In addition to these locations, we have intermittent openings in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. As our company motto states, VT-SGI prides itself on providing: “Uncompromised Protection with Integrity”. We are aiming to bolster our Protective Security Officer (PSO) force by recruiting security professionals with a minimum of two years of military service, law enforcement experience or federal/ state corrections training. You also must be able to obtain or renew a Public Trust or Secret level security clearance. Individuals with Top Secret/SCI level clearances are also needed for specific locations.
