Last week, our Managing Partner, Marcos Gonzalez, attended Emerging Manager Office Hours in NYC hosted by Venture Forward. He had a wonderful time building relationships with other emerging GPs in the space. Huge thank you to Rhianon Anderson and Maryam Haque for putting the event together and inviting Marcos! ⚡
If we want to see more diverse top companies like NVIDIA, we need to pave the way at the earliest stages—venture capital is that on-ramp. It was a pleasure to join Emerging Manager Office Hours hosted by Venture Forward earlier this week. Thank you to Rhianon Anderson and Maryam Haque for organizing such a value add event! A few (other) big takeaways to share: 👉 Distinguish the Curious from the Serious: Focus your time on LPs who are truly engaged. There are many LPs out there still excited about and committed to the VC asset class. 👉 Showcase Portfolio Performance: With liquidity tight, highlight KPIs, revenue growth, and the value your companies are building now to position for success when markets rebound. 👉 Clearly Differentiate: Provide concrete examples of how your approach stands out and drives unique outcomes, i.e., case studies. It was a pleasure connecting with friends and meeting inspiring next-gen GPs shaping the future of venture capital: William Crowder (Aperture® Venture Capital), Joshua Weed (Veteran Ventures Capital), Sonam Velani (Streetlife Ventures), Marcos Gonzalez (VamosVentures), Erica Duignan Minnihan (Reign Ventures), and Jenny Xiao (Leonis Capital). Here’s to collaboration, innovation, and creating lasting impact together.

It's Official! Very proud of the team at The EVERY Company for receiving an award from the United States Department of Defense to assess manufacturing expansion in the US! Manufacturing capacity has been a major bottleneck for our sector to fully unlock its potential, and it's egg-citing to see the US Government stepping up and leading the charge in an effort to cement our #biomanufacturing leadership. Huge congrats team!!! 💪🏼 🥳 Joel Kreps, Kumiko Yoshinari, PhD,CFA, Sarah Ham, Jeffrey Packer, Stephan Ciulla, Jenny R. and many others for their hard work in making it happen! Awesome to see Nestment featured in Architectural Digest! 👏 Check out the full story below to learn how three Nestment users became homeowners before turning 30... Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/gaFcgQFs
I’m so excited to share that Nestment is featured in Architectural Digest/ The piece highlights three incredible Gen Z Nestment users who are rethinking homeownership and bought their first homes before turning 30 through co-buying.This is exactly why we started Nestment—homeownership should feel possible for everyone. Co-buying isn’t just a clever workaround; it’s a real, practical solution for people who’ve been priced out or felt stuck on their path to owning a home. A huge thank you to Architectural Digest and Madeline Bilis for shining a light on this movement and the role Nestment plays in helping people unlock new possibilities. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gh2i_inw Here’s to making homeownership a reality for more people, one step at a time. #Nestment #ArchitecturalDigest #CoBuying #GenZHomeOwnership #AffordableHousing #RealEstate #HomeBuying

Recently, our own Marcos Gonzalez and Maya Trujillo attended the 73rd Latino Leaders Luncheon Series in Los Angeles celebrating the leadership of New Mexico's Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham. This was a wonderful opportunity to meet Governor Lujan Grisham and reconnect with local friends and peers. Kudos to Mickey Ibarra, Ruben Alvarez, and the whole team at the Latino Leaders Network, Inc. for continually bringing our community together to celebrate well-deserving honorees and the strength of the Latino community.

A few weeks ago, VamosVentures and Supply Change Capital co-hosted a LA Latinx VC roundtable with Janis Bowdler, Counselor for Racial Equity at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and Jeff Stout, Deputy Chief Program Officer for Small Business and Community Investment at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Participants engaged in lively discussion and brainstorming around how Treasury can further support diverse fund managers and underrepresented entrepreneurs. It was an illuminating session, but there's still lots of work to be done. We look forward to continuing this collaborative effort with changemakers in both the private and public sectors 🤝
