  • ASHRAE Guideline 36 from Schneider Electric provides standardized sequences of operation for HVAC systems, enhancing building performance by improving energy efficiency and occupant comfort. implementing these guidelines can lead to significant energy savings and streamlined compliance with energy standards. Did you know that nearly 40% of global CO2 emissions come from buildings? Even more surprising, 30% of the energy used in these structures goes to waste. Despite the prevalence of advanced HVAC systems, the building industry is hindered by a cost-driven approach favoring simplicity over efficiency. This is a major driver of energy loss. It’s time to rethink how we manage our buildings to reduce waste and create a more sustainable future. • What an incredible week connecting with industry leaders and gaining valuable insight at last week's NAESCO Conference! Our team had the opportunity to dive into the latest state-by-state and federal policies, engaging with subject matter experts and exploring innovative approaches to ESCO projects. We also had productive conversations about the challenges and opportunities shaping our industries' future. At UMS, we’re committed to aligning our growth with the evolving needs of our partners, ensuring we remain a trusted and valued project collaborator. Looking forward to applying what we’ve learned as we continue to grow and support the industry's progress. Jessica Calvo Jon LaRosa Joe D. Matt Cinquanti

  • In September, our team conducted 111 audits for our ESCO partners. While our focus has been on three critical areas: Lighting, HVAC, and Refrigeration, we have begun to expand our capabilities into other energy saving measures as well. Our goal is to assess and optimize energy usage, and provide our ESCO partners with data they need to produce actionable insights to reduce their clients operational cost while enhancing energy efficiency. By analyzing these systems, and providing our ESCO partners with this data, we assist them with identifying opportunities for energy savings and system upgrades, helping their clients to achieve both sustainability goals and improved operational performance.
