We are excited to introduce the Navy Supply Corps Foundation's two newest Distinguished Alumni, Janie L. Mines and Derek P. Hotchkiss, Commander, USN (Ret.). The Navy Supply Corps Foundation Distinguished Alumni Program recognizes individual Supply Corps Officers who have distinguished themselves after their Naval career "by obtaining significant success in the public or private sector and who credit their Supply Corps experience as a basic foundation of further professional achievements". Janie L. Mines: A trailblazer as the first African American female graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Janie's remarkable career spans military service, executive leadership, and nonprofit advocacy. Derek P. Hotchkiss: With an impressive 20-year career in the Navy Supply Corps, Derek has seamlessly transitioned to leadership roles in corporate America, driving innovation and mentorship in every capacity. Both honorees embody the values of the Supply Corps through their exceptional service, leadership, and dedication, making a lasting impact on the Navy and beyond.
