Carbon has been acquired by Perplexity! In two years, what started out as sketches on a WeWork whiteboard in Seattle transformed into a leading solution used by many Generative AI companies to connect external data to LLMs. When Dmitry and Frank shared his vision of what we could create together at Perplexity and invited us aboard the rocketship, it was an opportunity we simply could not turn down. The entire team is joining Perplexity to integrate our data connectors into their platform. This integration will make it easier for Perplexity's answer engine to access information from diverse sources, whether that data is stored in internal databases, cloud storage, or document repositories. A heartfelt thank you goes out to every customer, team member, investor, and partner who helped us reach this milestone. We truly wouldn’t be here without your support. I've been a big fan of Sendbird for a while now, and I'm really excited to announce that Carbon has been working with them on their new AI chatbot solution.   By using Carbon's universal data connectors, customers can build chatbots on Sendbird's no-code platform and integrate various knowledge sources like Notion, Google Drive, or Salesforce to improve the quality of responses and reduce hallucinations.
