  • For more than 160 years, First Horizon Bank has served its communities with the mantra of being good neighbors. Certainly, our region needed good neighbors after Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Knowing that together, we’re greater than any challenge, First Horizon contributed to United Way Suncoast’s Together We Recover Fund. The donation will help all of us good neighbors support those on the road to recovery after the storms. The horizon looks bright thanks to our positive partnership.

  • At Edward Jones, corporate citizenship is more than a buzz phrase. It’s a commitment to taking care of the financial strength and health in the communities it serves. Rarely has Tampa Bay’s financial strength been more at risk than the days and weeks after Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Fortunately, Edward Jones answered the call and provided support through United Way Suncoast’s Together We Recover Fund. Now, we’ve distributed $600,000 in grant funds to nonprofits making a difference. United is the way.

  • The Joy McCann Foundation supports organizations and projects committed to improving health, well-being, culture and humanity. Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we needed organizations to step up for the well-being of the community. And those that did revealed the better side of our humanity. We salute the Joy McCann for contributing to our Together We Recover Fund and reflecting the humanity we all need on the road to recovery.t

  • For the first time since 2005, Christmas and the first night of Hannukah have fallen on the same day. United Way Suncoast stands on the commonality this unique occurrence creates for so many. Hannukah celebrates the bringing light and holiness into the world. Christmas reminds us to extend peace and goodwill to all. We welcome the bonds these themes create, and look forward to them carrying into 2025 as we strive to mobilize communities to action for all. Let this and every day remind us that United is the Way.

  • ✨ United Way Suncoast is bringing joy and hope to our community this holiday season – because united, we make the season brighter for everyone. ❤️ #UnitedWaySuncoast #SeasonOfGiving

This holiday season, I had the privilege of stepping into some magical shoes as Santa’s helper at Gocio Elementary and Mrs. Claus at Tuttle Elementary with United Way Suncoast with my co-worker, Dave. Seeing the wonder and imagination on the children’s faces as Santa and I walked into the room was incredible! As Santa read The Friendship Train to them, he asked them to put their hands up in the air, and pretend like they were pulling the conductors horn chord and say, “Woot, woot!” Their joy, curiosity, and excitement reminded me of how powerful early learning experiences can be in shaping young minds. At United Way Suncoast, we believe that every child deserves a strong start. Early learning is the foundation for lifelong success, sparking creativity, building literacy, and fostering a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Moments like these are about more than holiday cheer—they’re about creating opportunities for children to have fun literacy experiences that help them dream big! Together, we can make a difference. #UnitedWaySuncoast #HolidayJoy #EarlyLearningMatters #EducationForAll

  • United Way Suncoast traces its roots back to 1924 and the formation of the Tampa Welfare League and Community Chest. First Citizens Bank goes back even further, having started in 1898. But we’re in lockstep now. First Citizens contributed to our Together We Recover Fund, enabling our efforts to support mid- and long-term recovery for our community members. Thanks First Citizens.
