  • ✨12 Days to New Year’s✨ Day 9 – Highlighting September 2024! In September, United Way of Broward County’s NextGen United gathered for a Day of Service at Flamingo Gardens. After enjoying a happy hour by the Flamingo Pond, the group participated in a volunteer project focused on animal enrichment. They learned about the different types of enrichment — physical, food, sensory, and cognitive — and how these activities encourage natural instincts, exploration, and exercise in the animals. The group also got creative by crafting Halloween-themed enrichments to help the animals join in the Harvest Festival fun.
