🤝 Unified Team Spotlight: Meet Solomon, a founding software engineer at Unify! Tell me about a feature you shipped that changed how users interact with your product. What made it special? "Earlier this year we launched Plays which completely changed the nature of Unify as a product. Before Plays, the workflows that could be executed within Unify and the actions a user could take were essentially pre-determined and well-defined. We were telling our users “Hey, here is an order of execution that we know works pretty well for most people. This is what you should use.” Plays opened the door to a whole new way of the world. Now it’s up to users to decide what they want to do with their data, and in what order. This has presented some really interesting UX challenges in which we need to carefully balance ease of use and product complexity." How do you balance craftsmanship with shipping velocity? "Great question. It’s not easy, and the answer isn’t always straightforward. I think that the unfortunate reality of working at a high-growth company like Unify is that sometimes compromises need to be made. Ultimately I believe craftsmanship comes down to delivering on the agreed-upon scope with the utmost care and attention to detail, even if that agreed-upon scope is a compromise to begin with. A question we often ask during the planning and design phase of a project is “What is the 80-20 here?” In other words, “Can we get ~80% of the way to the ideal state with substantially less effort?” If the answer is yes, that’s probably an okay compromise to make. What’s important from there is making sure to deliver 100% of that agreed-upon 80%." What does being customer obsessed mean to you? How does the EPD team embody this? "I’m not a huge fan of the expression “The customer is always right” because, in my experience, the customer is actually often wrong. That doesn’t mean that the customer’s problem is invalid, though, and the fact that the customer has any problem in the first place is indicative that there is definitely something wrong with your product. I think being “customer obsessed” comes down to being incredibly empathetic. Put yourself in the shoes of your customers. Imagine having to use your own software. Everyday of your life. Just to do your job. A job that you might not even like in the first place (we don’t all live to work). If you really put yourself there, I think you’ll quickly become obsessed with making your customers lives as easy and pleasant as possible." People have been dying to know how Unify uses its own product to drive >$1M in pipeline per month. Today, we're pulling back the curtain and giving away our top secrets... We built, shipped, and learned a ton about how to build a best-in-class automated outbound program—by testing everything ourselves first-hand and aggregating data from our customers—and now we want to share the learnings with you. The TLDR is: 1. Using multiple signals is crucial for booking meetings at scale. 2. Always iterate on copy, plays, personas, send schedules, and more. 3. Don't over-index on immediate success—build incrementally and you'll be in a far better spot long-term. Check out the comments to download the full guide on how we went from $0 to $7M pipeline in less than a year, and how you can, too!

Create a new Play. 2. Set parameters for the audience you're prospecting into. 3. Set qualification filters (you can do this with easy prompting!) 4. Add the personas you want to prospect for when companies qualify. 5. Let it run! Plus, you can click into each step of the Play to find out what happened at each point, on a Company and Person level. 🤝 Unified Team Spotlight: Meet Haley, who runs post-sales and support at Unify! 1. What are your favorite customer 'aha' moments in Unify? "Booking your first meeting through Unify is a pretty unbeatable feeling - from there, it's amazing to watch customers evolve and book more pipeline through the platform. The speed at which we're shipping is incredible, with our early customers being direct partners in building out the product roadmap. Most recently, it’s been especially rewarding seeing customers discover features like Plays and AI Agents, and watching them experiment with creative approaches to outbound we hadn't even considered. We're constantly learning from their ingenuity and it keeps the work exciting." 2. What's something about working with Unify customers that might surprise people? "People are often surprised by how collaborative our customer relationships are. We don't just set up the product and walk away - we partner with customers to shape their growth strategy and execute it through our platform. Many of our best features are driven by direct customer feedback and come from solving real business challenges. It's this kind of partnership that makes working with us so different." 3. What's the best part of being on the post-sales team at Unify? "What stands out about our team is how everyone genuinely cares about finding creative solutions for our customers. This level of investment spans outside of just post sales - everyone on EPD, sales, and growth teams is actively involved in understanding customer needs. Our assumptions about the product and how our customers use it are constantly being challenged - the team is always uncovering opportunities to continuously improve the customer experience. This collaborative environment coupled with the speed of the team’s execution in shipping these improvements really makes a difference in how we support our customers." You can filter for: • Headcount • Revenue • Funding • Pricing Model • Company Type • ... and more 2. Have our AI agent research each prospect to ensure they fit each criteria. 🤝 Unified Team Spotlight: Meet Garrett, who runs automated outbound at Unify! What has been your most surprising insight from scaling Unify's automated outbound from $0 to >$1M in monthly pipeline? "In order to see consistent and improving success in scaling your automated outbound program, you need to be consistently involved in the process from end to end. You'll see 75% of the value within the first few weeks of spinning up the program, but the incremental 25% comes from maintaining a schedule of iteration and improvement that will multiply the success you see." What's been your biggest win in experimenting with different intent signals and plays? "It's been really rewarding to see the team get excited about our product booking meetings with qualified companies. It's also been phenomenal to monitor our results week over week, seeing some of the most simple plays like LinkedIn engagement and Website visitors drive consistent meetings. Creating a recurring stream of meetings is no easy feat and requires great teamwork and coordination across our Growth team." What's one misconception about running automated outbound at scale that most GTM teams get wrong? "While it may appear easier to outsource your lead gen and outbound to an agency, I believe most organizations can see returns relatively quickly. Importantly, building an automated outbound program in-house can pay dividends across other business units, like inbound, manual outbound, and even marketing strategies. Unify's growth efforts allow us to get far more out of our other channels and it is rare for us to see new opportunities that have only been touched by one single strategy."
