Unico Properties LLC merrily participated in the Plymouth Housing Annual Cookie Drive this week. Corporate office employees baked and bought cookies for this wonderful yearly tradition, whereby thousands of cookies are donated which Plymouth then distributes to their nearly 1,400 residents. Plymouth Housing is dedicated to providing safe housing for so many experiencing homelessness in the Seattle area, sharing a simple bag of cookies can bring so much joy. Cassidy Stotts, Rachel Bain (and Charlie) got to deliver Unico's contribution. Thank you to everyone who helped make the donation such a success!

Unico Properties LLC was proud to be a part of Compass Housing Alliance's 50/50 raffle fundraising at the Seattle Seahawks' opening game! Dusti Davis, Rachel Bain, Maggie Farag, and Shauna Reece sold tickets and had a great team supporting Compass Housing Alliance. Wins all around!
While the Seahawks were busy winning Sunday’s game, this amazing crew of Compass Housing Alliance staff, family members, and volunteers brought that “Spirit of 12” energy and delivered $118,000 in sales for the 50/50 raffle! Not to brag (ok, yeah, maybe to brag just a little?), this doubles the results from last season’s first game and represents the 5th highest jackpot of all time! The best part? 50/50 means that 50% of the jackpot will be donated to the team’s Spirit of 12 nonprofit partners (including Compass!). Shoutout to the awesome Seattle Seahawks community team, the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, and Starbucks for making this program possible, and thank you to the thousands of fans who bought tickets! Go Hawks!

Seattle's location will feature specially curated installations unique to the city, promising an unforgettable experience for both locals and tourists alike. Themed exhibits include the Reversed Room and Building Illusion where visitors appear as if they are levitating upside down on a monorail or hanging from a beloved Seattle building. Additionally, guests can experience the museum's most popular and photo-worthy exhibits, including a Vortex Tunnel that tests your perception of physics, an anti-gravity room and a walk-in kaleidoscope. “We’re thrilled to have earned this commitment from the Museum of Illusions, and we’re so pleased to bring a globally recognized, one-of-a-kind interactive museum experience to the historic Skinner Building. It’s exciting to see a world-renowned operator make a statement by investing in downtown Seattle and selecting the heart of the city as its first location in the State of Washington. The Museum of Illusions will bring such a unique energy and experience to downtown Seattle, unlike anything in the Puget Sound region,” said Janel Jensen, Unico Properties Director, Retail Leasing. Located at 1326 Fifth Avenue, between Union and University Streets on the Metropolitan Tract, the Skinner Building is an eight-story, 216,000-square-foot, historical building. Unveiling: Along with our project partner, Pinnacle Partners, we’re pleased to announce that we have completed an extensive renovation of Washington Park, transforming this historic building into one of the most unique office and retail properties with breathtaking views along the revitalized Seattle Waterfront. A part of the Opportunity Zone program, the 52,809-square-foot Washington Park is It includes office space and a ground-floor anchor retail space facing the waterfront. The renovations include a full seismic upgrade; renovation of each floor, including the addition of kitchens and conference rooms; addition of a penthouse and rooftop patio; and installation of an architectural staircase that connects the basement with the ground floor to bring light to the lower level. “The fully renovated Washington Park is a one-of-a-kind, move-in ready opportunity in the heart of the Seattle Waterfront and specifically across the street from Waterfront Park Habitat Beach. Our major transformation of this historic property complements the beautiful, new waterfront, and creates a stunning home and turnkey new space for tenants who are looking for office space with modern infrastructure and historic charm,” said Elizabeth Thorson, Unico Properties Director, Market Leader. “We’re thrilled to bring this building with a deep Seattle history and immense architectural character to life.” Originally constructed in 1890 after the Great Seattle Fire of 1889, Washington Park was built for the Lowman and Hanford Stationery and Printing Company for their printing and bindery operations. The building features 16-to-18-foot ceilings on the ground floor with stunning views of Puget Sound, and the original Carnegie steel beams used in the initial construction. A 12,000-square-foot anchor office, retail or restaurant space facing the waterfront is available, with an additional 2,000-square-foot space available that faces the newly improved Washington Street. #UnicoProperties #OpportunityZone #CRE For more details, check out the full story here: https://lnkd.in/gKEuJC7A

Big Announcement: We are thrilled to announce a new future for Alaska Airlines’ employees with their purchase of a 19-acre property at our Longacres campus in Renton, Washington, which will become home to the airline’s world-class training programs. The new training hub will enhance the training experience for flight attendants, pilots, customer service agents and more, as well as centralize operations into one facility. We purchased Longacres from Boeing in December 2021. The site housed Boeing Commercial Airplane HQ in prior years. Longacres is a 173-acre campus that is being planned for a vibrant, diversified, mixed-use campus that includes an Arts and Entertainment District, miles of walking and jogging trails, ponds and scenic wetlands, and direct access to the Renton/Tukwila Sound Transit Station. Alaska’s purchase from us includes the 600,000-square-foot facility that Boeing purposefully built to house an aviation training facility. Alaska plans to invest an additional $100 million to renovate the space. Alaska previously occupied the building which they have now purchased. We are grateful for the long-term partnership we’ve had with Alaska – in 2023, we secured a 20-year renewal and expansion of Alaska Airlines’ lease to 107,000 square feet at this property. Alaska originally held approximately 38,000 square feet of space in the building. “This major commitment by Alaska alongside the significant investment made by the Sounders in opening its new training facility earlier this year, has created significant momentum for the mixed-use campus. Given these events, Renton is a bright spot in the region and we’re excited to build upon these announcements to bring other beloved Northwest brands to our exciting new community,” said Elizabeth Thorson, Unico Properties Director, Market Leader. “We’re pleased to have secured in excess of 670,000 square feet of occupancy since acquiring the property in a difficult office environment throughout the country.” “It is great to see this special 173-acre campus come to life with the opening of the Sounders FC practice facility and now the thousands of Alaska Airlines employees that will frequent the site,” said Ned Carner, Founder Wing Point Partners who worked with Unico to facilitate the sale. “We are one step closer to achieving our goal of an active campus that seamlessly brings the community to work, live, and recreate together.” For more details, check out the full story here: https://lnkd.in/ghNS7kUi Photo Credit: NBBJ #UnicoProperties #AlaskaAirlines #Longacres #ArtsandEntertainmentDistrict #Boeing #WorldClass #CRE #CommericialRealEstate #Renton
