You might be pleasantly surprised to find out that volunteering can really help you build an impressive work portfolio and show off your skills to future employers. Plus, it's a great way to develop important soft skills like communication, leadership, and teamwork. And let’s not forget internships—they’re fantastic stepping stones for your career. Think of them as part-time gigs during school that could turn into amazing full-time jobs down the line! For Native and Indigenous Heritage Month, we partnered with the University of Maryland's Office of Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy to present a list of volunteering and internship resources helpful to Native or Indigenous students. Check out our resources by visiting go.umd.edu/nhminternship. For more career resources, we are here for you. For guidance on Native and Indigenous resources, please email Kyrsha Balderas from MICA at balderas@umd.edu ✉️ You can check out all of MICA’s events by visiting go.umd.edu/MICAEVENTS.
