Today marks the beginning of our 12 Days of Gratitude, where we reflect on the legacy of Trustbridge’s 45 years of compassionate care and support for families in South Florida. This journey began in 1978 with the founding of Hospice of Palm Beach County and Hospice by the Sea, organizations built on the belief that every person deserves comfort, dignity, and peace at the end of life.
Inspired by the hospice movement in the United States, our founders introduced a holistic approach to end-of-life care, emphasizing comfort, pain management, and emotional support. In 1979, the Florida Hospice Act, signed by Governor Bob Graham, helped pave the way for hospice care across the state, affirming its value for patients and families.
Since opening our doors, we have touched the lives of over 200,000 families in Palm Beach and Broward counties. Each moment of care reflects our unwavering commitment to meeting the needs of patients and providing solace to their loved ones.
As Governor Bob Graham shared: "Your palliative medicine, caregiving, and bereavement support truly provide the medical needs and compassion for those actively dying and for their loved ones. Your compassion and dedication to this profession is immeasurable."
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey—our staff, volunteers, supporters, and the families who have entrusted us with their care. Together, we continue to honor this sacred mission. 💙
