In early November 2024, we proudly celebrated the graduation of 30 young individuals from Lutzville, South Africa, who completed a transformative 12-month learnership program. This initiative is a result of our partnership with Training Force, a registered training provider in South Africa. The program equips participants with valuable skills in IT, Production Technology, and Logistics, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. This partnership highlights our commitment to empowering local youth, helping them build successful careers and contributing to the growth of their communities. Congratulations to all the graduates on this significant achievement!

https://lnkd.in/ecEDnxVg At Tronox, we responsibly transform the earth’s resources into products and opportunities that enhance lives. From the mineral sands extracted through our mining operations in Australia, we produce titanium ore, zircon, and rare earths, and process them further into titanium dioxide and other products – critical inputs for a range of products from paints, coatings, plastics, ceramics and medical devices. We are proud to be a part of Australia’s mining sector. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/gGmvNa4f

🥁 Drum Roll 🥁 Introducing the CME's new campaign: WA resources make it possible. More than 50 different minerals are mined in WA and each one has an important but sometimes hidden purpose in our lives. The campaign shines a spotlight on some of those purposes - and highlights the central role of mining and energy extraction to everyday life, both here in WA and across the globe. Please feel free to like and share - and keep an eye out for the ads hitting tv screens, billboards, social media, radio waves, print and digital over coming months.

The United Kingdom’s Committee on Mutagenicity of Chemicals in Food, Consumer Products and the Environment (COM), reported there is “little evidence” of health concerns regarding the presence of titanium dioxide (TiO₂) in nanoform. The COM evaluated the studies referenced in the 2021 EFSA Opinion and conducted further literature research, affirming the safety of TiO₂. https://lnkd.in/eJPnDEwt

I am proud to announce Tronox have received certification as a Disability Confident Committed Employer in the UK. Following some work done by myself and Sarah Dent. When uploading Apprenticeship vacancy adverts to the GOV website following the commitments we have made to meet any additional needs people may have through our recruitment process we can now declare that we are a disability confident employer. Our adverts will now reach a wider more diverse audience. This certification aligns with our D&I strategy and supports our drive to be an Employer of choice. We have gained Level 1 accreditation for commitments / actions already completed and we will now look into what achieving Level 2 and then Level 3 requires with a view of doing everything we can to meet these requirements.
