🚧 Milestone Unlocked. AlexRenew's new Hooffs Run Interceptor is online, accepting flows and mitigating combined sewer overflows! The commissioning of this sewer interceptor provides some early control of combined sewer overflows, reducing the number of overflow events from Outfall 004 from 45 to less than 4. Kudos to our incredible team for working diligently to achieve this early “win” in our journey to a healthier waterways future.

Lifting the first of three arches for the NJ TRANSIT Portal North Bridge — the 5 million-pound, 400-foot-long, and 50-foot-wide structure was successfully placed over the Hackensack River this week. The fixed-span bridge, being constructed by the Skanska Traylor PNB Joint Venture team, will replace the 114-year-old swing bridge, allowing for marine traffic to travel underneath without disrupting rail operations.
