The TrackTown USA team recently enjoyed the privilege of browsing the amazing track and field archives in the University of Oregon Knight Library. Thousands of photographs, handwritten letters, past media guides, tickets, press passes and more were all thrilling to see! Thanks to Jake Willard and Justin McIntyre for arranging this experience.

An estimated economic impact of $50 million was generated by track & field and running events during the 2024 Track Town, U.S.A. season, Travel Lane County reported this morning. Thousands of athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and fans experienced the magic that is TrackTown and their spending provided an essential boost for local businesses and generated tax revenue for our communities. With marquee upcoming events like the USATF-certified Eugene Marathon, the USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships, the NCAA D1 Outdoor Championships, and the 50th Anniversary of The Prefontaine Classic, we can't wait to see what 2025 brings. A big thank you to the community, organizations, and partners for making these events possible.

I had a phenomenal night in Portland with the TrackTown USA family at FLASH Photo Gala. It was an honor to be shortlisted for this competition. It was great to be in company with incredible photographers that I have looked up to since I began my creative media journey in Track and Field!

TrackTown USA is proud to once again support the Best Photo by a Black Woman Photographer category at PORTLAND TRACK's FLASH Photo Gala. Congratulations to Solene Decosta for winning this year's category with her image "Love On Top" 👏 2024 marked the third consecutive year that TrackTown USA has worked with Black Women Photographers to help expand the talent and diversity of photographers in track & field.

Some TrackTown USA staff headed up for PORTLAND TRACK's fourth annual FLASH Photo Gala to celebrate and support track & field photography. Our own Video Producer/Editor Tyler DeWaard's image "Ticket Punched" made the event's shortlist in the Action category.

It's International Volunteers Day! Volunteers are the backbone of the events we help host at Hayward Field, and we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the hundreds of people who make such a positive impact through volunteering every season. Thank you! 👏
