Understanding and leveraging credit terms with vendors is crucial to cash flow. Mind the details. For example Net 30 = 30 days credit. Confirm whether that time starts counting from 1. Invoice date, 2. Good receipt date, or 3. End of calendar month. ✅ Pro tip: If it's calendar month, place your orders closer to the start of the month. This way you have about 3 weeks in that month to move that inventory, plus 4 weeks in the following month during your real 30 days.

What's wrong with entreprenuers? We have this seemingly unquenchable curiosity for identifying people's needs, then figuring out how to sell the solution profitably. Without that curiosity it's hard to keep going. What else is "wrong"?

Business owners are busy! If there's one thing you should make non-negotiable is bank reconciliation, at least monthly. Assuming you're not doing everything in cash like a 👀, comparing your books to the bank and credit card statements can get things clear very fast.
