‘Tis the season for giving back during the holidays! Thank you to our amazing Zoo members and guests who generously donated over 1,000 animal plushes since early November. The Houston Zoo and SSA Group, our food and retail partner, teamed up with our neighbors at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital to make a child’s holiday shine this season. Now through Dec. 31 you can buy a plush to donate at the Zoo Store to support this meaningful cause.

In 2024, SSA Group partnered with KultureCity to help train our employees to better serve the diverse needs of our guests.  Ashley Hughes is the assistant general manager of the Detroit Zoo and was one of the first employees to complete the training program.  Read more about her experience below. https://lnkd.in/eT2zX5sX

Well, look at what just hit the shelves at the Monterey Bay Aquarium! Congratulations to Rachel Carnahan for getting this project over the finish line!!! This collaboration has been years in the making. When I first connected with Cotopaxi’s founder and then CEO Davis Smith, and learned about his company and mission I knew that we had to collaborate somehow. Thanks also to Rachel Schanding and SSA Group for making this happen. #mission
