The Rural Difference
About us
The Behavioral Health Alliance of Rural Pennsylvania (BHARP) is a Pennsylvania Non-Profit Corporation that contracts with the PA Department of Human Services to provide the behavioral health-focused, HealthChoices program for Medicaid recipients (members) in the twenty-four counties we serve in Pennsylvania. BHARP subcontracts with Community Care Behavioral Health (CCBH), who in turn provides the coverage for our members. As part of BHARP's role as the primary contractor, we ensure that members receive proper care that is accessible in these rural counties. We also ensure that all care received by our members follows both state and federal guidelines, and is of the highest possible quality. Our organization offers resources and support for providers within our coverage area to assist them in helping members reach their full potential for both treatment and recovery.

World Introvert Day is celebrated on January 2nd each year to recognize and appreciate the unique qualities of introverts. The day was created by German psychologist and author Felicitas Heyne in 2011. January 2nd was chosen as the date because it marks the end of the busy holiday season, when introverts can recharge and enjoy the peace and quiet. #Introverts #TheRuralDifference #BHARPofPA
