Honoring Aimee Baker: A Legacy of Laughter, Creativity, and Hope ✨ At The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa, we were deeply honored to be the backdrop for an incredible project that celebrates the life and legacy of Aimee Baker. Aimee’s spirit—her infectious laugh, creative brilliance, and immense heart—continues to inspire through this special film and music video created in collaboration with the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, James Orrigo, Razor Worldwide, and Marina Toybina. Set against our stunning resort, this imaginative project brought Aimee’s vision to life, with whimsical battles between muffins and cupcakes, and a sense of humor that embodied her joyful spirit. Although Aimee passed away before filming, her legacy shines brightly, and we are proud to have played a role in preserving it. Together, we honor Aimee’s memory and continue her mission to raise awareness and funds for childhood brain cancer research. 'Twas the night before Christmas at The Homestead so bright, Where magic and joy filled the cold winter night. Jefferson the Elf, with a wink and a cheer, Spread holiday spirit to all who were near. Hot cocoa from Martha's Market, so sweet, Warmed up our hands as we sat by the heat. Blitzen’s Bar gleamed with festive delight, As drinks sparkled brightly under soft candlelight. Snuggles with Grandma on the front porch so warm, As snow gently fell, creating its charm. Peppermint trees twinkled, a magical sight, In the heart of the Allegheny Mountains, so white. We glided on ice, skating with glee, Then roasted s’mores by the fire, so carefree. Gingerbread houses decorated with care, Sweet smells of the season filled up the air. In the holiday suite, we gathered around, Sharing our presents, our laughter the sound. With memories made that would last through the year, At The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa, Christmas magic is here! Merry Christmas Eve to all of our Homesteaders! As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on the incredible honor of hosting the 2024 Historic Hotels of America | Historic Hotels Worldwide Annual Conference! It was a week filled with inspiring speakers, including Bob Rowling, Mark Spadoni, Elizabeth Dixon, Carly Fiorina, and 23+ hoteliers, many from the Omni Hotels & Resorts family. We are incredibly honored to have hosted the 2024 Historic Hotels of America | Historic Hotels Worldwide Annual Conference at The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa! This week, we welcomed a remarkable group of attendees who engaged with over 10 keynote speakers, including our esteemed owner, Bob Rowling, and more than 23 subject matter experts, some from our own Omni family such as Joy Rothschild, Amanda Burroughs, Michael Medeiros, Kerry Hamilton, and David Harker. During Thursday’s Awards of Excellence ceremony, we were thrilled to celebrate the achievements of two outstanding individuals from our Homestead family: Cindy White, who received the Ambassador of the Year award, and Omni family: John Murtha CHA from the Omni Parker House, honored as Historic Hotelier of the Year. Please join us in congratulating their esteemed accolades! A heartfelt thank you to the planning committee—Mark Spadoni, John Hess, Robert Muehlich, Lynn Swann, and Larry Horwitz—, our spectacular front-of-house and back-of-house teams, banquets team, housekeepers, F&B team, bellman and more! We couldn't have done this event without y'all. On a final note, we were thrilled to surprise our guests with a visit from Thomas Jefferson—one of the 24 presidents who have graced our historic halls! His presence reminded us of his inspiring words: "Whenever you do a thing, act as if all the world were watching."
