AAIH is a global advocacy organization whose intent is to enable advancement and use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. AAIH believes that patients’ lives will be improved through investment, innovation, and the thoughtful and responsible application of AI in the discovery and development of new therapies. AAIH and its member companies and organizations are applying state‐of‐the‐art approaches and investing in advanced integrated programs (or solutions) to address society’s need for new, more effective, and accessible healthcare. The AAIH is a coalition of technology developers, pharmaceutical companies, and research organizations who have expressed the common goal of realizing the potential for AI in healthcare to significantly improve quality of care, but who also recognize that difficult questions must be considered. We are acting as a forum for these key conversations and providing a unified voice of the industry in established responsible, ethical, and reasonable standards for the development and implementation of AI in healthcare. AAIH Mandate and Goals -Develop appropriate regulations and industry guidance -Seek engagement with appropriate stakeholders -Interface with Government & NGO’s on growth of AI in healthcare industry -Stimulate data sharing and open access to key findings -Set a model and testing approach for quality control and use of standards -Establish accreditation authority and/or affiliation with academic organizations -Educate general populace, industry stakeholders, and government on value of AI and Machine Learning -Prioritize and tailor forums for regulators, payors, providers, and other end‐users as well as patients, the public, and media -Produce informative and reliable industry reports

This year, I came to realize that AI in healthcare is not just about coding... As a Medical student in AI, I had the privilege of working on projects that truly improves lives beyond codes: - A fetal health triage system to support better maternal care, - Tools to enhance post-surgery care, and - Hepatitis risk assessments to improve early detection and management. Beyond these projects, I gained valuable insights and connections by contributing to global policies on the responsible use of AI in healthcare through The Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare (AAIH) Data-Working Group; and gained valuable industry experience through: - Interning with eHealth4everyone as a Prompt Engineer thanks to Medintech Africa for the connection. - Interning with Mentorness Recruitment Service as an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer - Interning with Hamoye.org as a Data Scientist - Volunteering as a Studio Publisher at Lightning AI - Volunteering as an Invention Coach at Public Invention - Volunteering as an AI Engineer at InnovateHealth Africa (IHA) - Representing Biostat-Med Stars LTD as a Campus Ambassador - Serving as a Public Relations Officer at Ambrose Alli University Medical Student Association (AAUMSA MHA) - Sharing my experience with the AI Healthcare Podcast I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to connect with brilliant minds around the globe like Elaine H., Nicole Szulborski, Favour Ibude, Megan Cadena, Nwamaka Bob-Ume, MD, Joslyn Nicholson, Robert Read, Corey Strausman, Bhimraj Yadav, Dylan Reid(Moskowitz), Isaac Ekundayo, Olivier SIBOMANA, Precious Chika-Ugada, and so many others who inspired and supported me along the way. AAIH End of Year Reflection: A Year of Transformation As we close out 2024 with just two days remaining, it's the perfect moment to reflect on another transformative year for the AAIH community! This year, Cytocast reached new heights in transforming drug development with the successful launch of their Digital Twin Patient platform. This cutting-edge innovation is designed to predict possible side effect caused by a drug candidate, based on data from the earliest stages of the drug discover pipeline. The platform is already making waves—securing key partnerships and contracts that highlight its potential to reshape drug discovery. They are also honored to have a Review Article, “Computational tools to predict context-specific protein complexes,” published in Current Opinion in Structural Biology (linked below)! This achievement further establishes their leadership in computational predictions of cellular responses to perturbations and highlighting the impact of their work on advancing drug discovery by detailed understanding of drug effects at multiple scales from molecules to tissues.
