Saturday was a wake-up call for America. Violence has no place in our politics and the increasingly stark rhetoric in our media has to boil down; otherwise, we shouldn't be surprised when the next bullet is fired. YPAC stands for exactly the opposite of what Crooks did. We need more political discussion, not less. We need to see people on the other side as fellow Americans, not enemies. Instead of battling over policy and how to effectively increase Americans' quality of life, they talked about their golf game. Politics truly is a matter too serious to be left to politicians.
