Once judged, forever settled – that’s the power of res judicata! Meaning: Res judicata (Latin for “a matter judged”) refers to a principle where a final judgment by a competent court is conclusive and prevents the same parties from re-litigating the same issue. This doctrine ensures judicial efficiency, prevents legal harassment, and upholds the finality of judgments. Once a case is decided, courts won’t entertain the same dispute to avoid wasting time and resources. Have you come across cases dismissed on grounds of res judicata? Share your insights below!
