Self-adhesive materials and adhesives training customer facing professionals in the labelling industry.

About us

The Label Training Company offers training for new employees and also for professionals wishing to improve their knowledge of materials and adhesives. The training is suitable for employees working in sales marketing, material purchasing, production and in other roles. For new starters, the aim of the training is to familiarise participants with the most common applications in the market place and the materials that we utilise to support them, along with an introduction to materials in relation to sustainability. Rather than gradually absorbing this knowledge over the first few years in the industry, we provide it in a detailed and structured manner and with subsequent access to the course presentations and support. Ideal for new starters in sales, but also for others in different roles wanting a better understanding of common applications. We also offer materials and adhesives training for professionals working in production roles and material purchasing. This course provides a detailed overview of how self adhesive materials are made, the paper and filmic face materials that we regularly use, adhesives and their characteristics and how materials can be used to offer sustainable solutions. Also suitable for experienced sales professionals wanting to expand their knowledge. For more information please head to our website www.thelabeltrainingcompany.co.uk

  • Whilst handling quotation requests for a rather large label convertor, I came across my favourite label enquiry ever. A lot of effort had gone into completing the enquiry, I had the label size, the number of colours, a rough layout of the design including the full barcode specification, but against the question "surface to be labelled" it simply said: SUBMARINE. Now, I suspect that it's common practice for estimators and technical people to fill in the gaps when they receive enquiries for known applications, but this one was a bit of a stretch. I didn't even know if the label was to go on the inside or outside. Collecting the details of an application from a customer is a skill. There are at least fifteen different questions that need to be asked in relation to the material alone, particularly if you want to offer a sustainable solution. If you can identify all of the critical issues, you can win yourself an account. If you don't, you can win yourself a substantial credit, but second guessing is dangerous and can lose you opportunities. We offer materials and adhesive training for customer facing staff to make sure they have the knowledge and the tools to extract the exact information your business needs to offer your most effective solution. https://lnkd.in/eR9dK_fE P.S. The submarine label was actually for a removeable gas cylinder that needed to comply with an British safety standard. It had nothing to do with the submarine itself, but they did have to surface to label it! 🤦♂️
