We’re in Forbes 🙌🙌🙌 ‘We’ is the result of great industry #collaboration and hard work to identify the barriers and solutions for better #accessibility in business travel — and release our GBTA toolkit earlier this year. ♿️Travelers with accessibility #requirements are not a niche. During our research and stakeholder consultation process, travelers shared a wide range of stories about the ways their disabilities - often #invisible - has impacted their travel. 🎯This is of course about traveler’s experience and #wellbeing but also about #ROI for companies. Extra time spent by employees on booking, navigating websites and finding information is time and money lost. 🤝Excited for the momentum building across the industry to address these issues - especially through #technology and #distribution channels to allow a better flow of information from the hotels, airlines and ground transportation suppliers to the corporate travelers. What did we learn from GBTA | Global Business Travel Association’s largest-ever Sustainability Summit? ✍️ Reframe the narrative: Keynote speaker Monica Araya challenged us to consider: what if business travel is the solution, not the problem? 🎬 It's time to move from planning to action: Companies have much work to do to accelerate practices that materially reduce their business travel emissions. ↗️ We’re shifting towards common standards: More and more companies are utilizing common sustainability language in procurement, but there is still a long way to go. 📋 Companies are prepping for ESG regulations: Companies are starting to report under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in the European Union and other ESG rules in the rest of the world – but they often need help with accuracy and implementation. Priti Hoffmann Jakop Dalunde 🖥️ Technology plays a pivotal role in sustainability strategies: Now more than ever, companies are looking to technology to support compiling, understanding, and developing strategies around their travel emissions data.
