We were thrilled to represent The Dancing Tiger Scrapstore CIC at the recent Green Futures event for North Lincolnshire Council. Our theme, "Beautiful Birds: Turning Everyday Scrap into Art," highlighted the incredible potential of reusing scrap materials to create stunning artworks inspired by the beauty of birds. This event was a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who share our passion for creativity and sustainable practices. By turning waste into art, we aim to inspire communities to think differently about materials, creativity, and our planet. Last week, we had the privilege of joining the Get Crafty group at their weekly arts and crafts session, hosted by the fantastic 20-21 Visual Arts Centre It was a joy to collaborate with this wonderfully creative group as we worked together on festive crafts. The room was alive with creativity, laughter, and a shared love for making something special. Music, art and Japanese culture took centre stage at a series of creative workshops for students at Trent View College in Scunthorpe. The Dancing Tiger Scrapstore, a creative and community hub based in the town, delivered the workshops along with Humber Taiko, which develops and promotes Japanese style taiko ensemble drumming.  The creative workshops came about thanks to the Greater Lincolnshire Careers Hub, which has been supporting the development of a working relationship between Dancing Tiger Scrapstore and Trent View College.
