Today, members of the Black Chamber of Arizona’s Board, and other community leaders had the privilege of preparing and serving meals at the Ronald McDonald House. We were honored to be joined by Governor Hobbs and inspired by the next generation—our board members’ teenagers—who embraced the spirit of giving back. A heartfelt thank you to our President & CEO, Dr. Velma Trayham, for organizing this meaningful opportunity and bringing us together to serve. Last Friday was an amazing night for the Black Chamber of Arizona! The Pinnacle Awards Gala evening was filled with masquerade glamour, an inspiring keynote presentation by US Black Chamber President & CEO Ron Busby, Sr., special community remarks by City of Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, an important presentation about Black-owned businesses from The State of Black Arizona, and celebration of honorees (more detail below)... all emceed under the deft and dynamic hand of Angela Yee (host of the nationally syndicated show, Way Up). A special shout out goes to the Small Business (SEDI) Grant Award winners (a program sponsored by Wells Fargo, in partnership with Millionaire Mastermind Academy) who attended as our guests - congratulations to you all!
