Our founder, Lori McCullough, attended a Bureau of Land Management Outdoor Recreation Summit in Denver last week. It was an opportunity to share input on outdoor recreation challenges and opportunities on BLM-managed lands across the country. One of the biggest challenges? The lack of shovel-ready projects! That’s where The Great Outdoors Fund stands out. We identify projects across the country, secure funding, and guide them from design and fundraising all the way to completion. Together, we’re creating access to the great outdoors for everyone. 🌲 #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature

Winter recreation can be just as enjoyable as spring and summer adventures. There's something magical about landscapes covered in a blanket of snow. Whether you're skiing the mountains of Colorado, snowshoeing through the serene trails of Acadia National Park, or hiking along the rim of the Grand Canyon, we encourage you to embrace the season and make the most of it! #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature

Every project we take on has a single mission: to make our outdoor lands and waters more accessible so everyone can experience their beauty. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our public and private partners or the incredible volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to bring these projects to life. #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature

BIG NEWS! 📰 🗞️ We’re so excited to announce the Lobatos Bridge Outdoor Classroom & Recreation Enhancement Project is moving from fundraising to construction, thanks to a significant grant from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) to Conejos and Costilla Counties! 🎉 🎉 The grant is part of GOCO’s Community Impact program, which develops and revitalizes parks, trails, school yards, fairgrounds, environmental education facilities, and other outdoor projects that enhance a community's quality of life and access to the outdoors. This project will create a space where you can raft, hike, fish, enjoy brilliant night skies, engage in history and culture, and marvel at 13,000-year-old petroglyphs. It’s about preserving the past while providing incredible outdoor opportunities for future generations. The partners anticipate celebrating the completion of the project with a ribbon-cutting event in September of 2025. This has been years in the making, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible support of our partners. Here’s to progress, partnerships, and making a lasting impact on our outdoor spaces! 🌉✨ #TheGreatOutdoorsFund #GetBackToNature #GiveBackToNature #LobatosBridge #SLVGO #SdCNHA #ConejosCounty #CostillaCounty #BureauofLandManagement #Oxy #RGBank #RioGrandeRoundtable #YourRioGrande #AdamsStateUniversity
