The Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Seminar (Seminar), being held January 14-16, 2025 in Long Beach, California, is the longest-standing hydrogen energy event in North America. The Seminar first kicked off in 1976 and continues to be the only hydrogen conference in the United States structured by industry for industry. While many conferences have emerged over the past few years; there is only one Seminar. The Seminar highlights industry innovation and leadership, builds international partnerships, connects stakeholders and customers, highlights technology advancements, and draws attendees from business, government, and academia. • Japan is the Country Sponsor with a unique pavilion and opportunity for trans-Pacific insight and networking, • Exclusive Department of Energy (DOE) half-day workshop arranged by the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office, • The Seminar was selected by the US Commercial Service as one of few energy events in 2025 for its Trade Event Partnership Program, and • As the first event of 2025, the Seminar will be positioned to highlight the path ahead for our industry in light of the US elections. https://lnkd.in/gXTJa8pf

Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the IRS released final rules for the Section 48 Energy Credit – also known as the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) – that will give clean energy project developers clarity and certainty to undertake major investments to produce more clean power and further strengthen America’s clean energy economy. Among other items, note that for Hydrogen storage: The final rules clarify that hydrogen energy storage property does not need to store hydrogen that is solely used as energy and not for other purposes. More details, including for hydrogen and fuel cells below. https://lnkd.in/eM4SQz27

Following on from last year's increased investment from Cemex Ventures, we are delighted to share the news of their initial deployment of our clean hydrogen technology at Cemex's cement plant in Rugby, UK! HiiROC is revolutionising hydrogen production with our low-cost, proprietary process, #ThermalPlasmaElectrolysis (TPE), which uses only one fifth of the electricity required by water electrolysis and produces no carbon dioxide – an industry game-changer. Our work with Cemex at Rugby is part of their Future in Action programme. Cemex will deploy TPE to produce hydrogen for its clinker kiln, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, a key step towards their goal of becoming a net-zero company by 2050. Building a Greener Future with Hydrogen Innovation 🌱 We recently visited Applied Hydrogen, a pioneering Norwegian company advancing hydrogen-powered construction equipment. Their latest project—a 30-ton Volvo excavator retrofitted with a fuel cell and our 700-bar hydrogen cylinders—achieves impressive all-day operation with nearly 60 kg of hydrogen. With a sturdy design, lightweight cylinders, and CE-certified weight compliance, this machine is super powerful and very robust. This innovation promises zero-emission solutions for the construction industry, and we’re excited to see it enter pilot operations soon! 🚧🏗️ #EnergyTransition #Sustainability #Hydrogen Jørn Helge Dahl Patrick Breuer Blaise Thomas Philipp Thönnißen Marcel Thyssen Benjamin Jost Felix Grass Eli Turander
