We’re excited to announce the groundbreaking of the Frank D. Spaziano Middle School! O&G’s Building Group is working with DOWNES CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, Tecton Architects, Providence Public Schools, and the City of Providence to create this incredible new facility. Located across from Spaziano Elementary School, the new middle school will foster a seamless transition for students in the same dual-language environment, promoting academic consistency and community. With a $34.5 million budget, the facility will offer cutting-edge environments for STEAM education, special education, and modern tech integration. South Norwalk School Steel Topping-Off Ceremony and Celebration of State Funding for a Roundabout next to the School Today marks a significant milestone not only for the South Norwalk community but for the future of education in our city. This new school represents a long-overdue investment in our children, giving them a state-of-the-art facility to learn and thrive. The 60% state reimbursement rate has made this possible, saving Norwalk taxpayers $30 million while prioritizing our students. The additional $2.5 million investment for a roundabout next to the school will ensure our students’ safety, improving traffic flow and pedestrian safety for everyone in this neighborhood. We’re building more than just a school—we’re building a safer, stronger community for generations to come. This 156,000 SF, Net Zero Ready facility is designed to meet CT HPBS sustainability standards and offers a bright future for PK-5 students. Tecton was proud to guide the District’s 10-Year Capital Plan—from enrollment projections to a successful budget referendum and state grant support.
