About us
TechWomen empowers, connects, and supports the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East by providing them access and opportunity to advance their careers and inspire women and girls in their communities. Through mentorship and exchange, TechWomen strengthens participants’ professional capacity, increases mutual understanding between key networks of professionals, and expands girls’ interest in STEM careers by exposing them to female role models. TechWomen is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). 📌A Symphony of Gratitude To the Department of State, the Institute of International Education, and the entire TechWomen community, my heart swells with profound gratitude. In 2022, as I embarked on my journey as a professional mentor, I yearned for a sanctuary of resilience and innovation—a community of women unafraid to be change agents in tumultuous times. During the 2024 Inaugural TechWomen Global Alumnae Summit in Casablanca, Morocco, I stood amidst that very community, one that not only met my expectations but ignited a fire of inspiration within me. Thank you to the US Department of State for your unwavering support and vision in creating a platform where mentorship transcends borders and cultivates global understanding. Your commitment to fostering cross-cultural dialogue has been instrumental in shaping a generation of women leaders who are breaking barriers and redefining boundaries. Thank you to the Institute of International Education for your dedication to bringing this vision to life. Your meticulous organization and steadfast belief in the power of education and collaboration have empowered countless women, providing them with the tools and confidence to lead impactful change. And to the TechWomen community, thank you for embodying the spirit of collaboration and empowerment. You have proven that together, we are an unstoppable force capable of tackling global challenges and driving social impact. Our diverse talents and perspectives unite under a shared vision for a brighter future—one where women lead with strength, creativity, and determination. As we continue this transformative journey, let us remember that our collective power knows no limits. Together, we are the architects of a future where innovation flourishes and societal impact resonates across the globe. With gratitude and hope, I look forward to the endless possibilities that lie ahead. #TWSummit #TechWomen #WomenInSTEM #USinMorocco #GlobalImpact #TechDiplomacy
