Excited to do a deep dive into the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's #GenAI playbook! Quick summary from the press release: "The playbook features detailed case studies from DHS’s own pilots, which tested GenAI applications that enhanced investigative leads, assisted local governments with hazard mitigation planning, and created innovative training opportunities for immigration officers. The cutting-edge guide makes recommendations to state and local leaders based on lessons learned from these pilots and is designed to be an accessible resource for public sector organizations at any stage of their AI journey." Thank you to Eric Hysen and your whole team for staying ahead of the curve here!
Proud to share the release of the DHS Playbook for Public Sector Generative AI Deployment - a resource for government leaders at every level to responsibly harness the potential of generative AI. Over the past few years, DHS has made major strides in adopting AI to enhance our missions, from improving disaster response to creating new tools for cybersecurity and immigration services. The playbook draws on our real-world experiences and lessons learned to guide others through building responsible AI programs in the public sector. A huge thanks to Abby Deift for her leadership in bringing this playbook to life, Elizabeth Whatcott for her invaluable contributions, and the entire DHS AI team, especially Dave Larrimore, Chris Kraft, and Anil Dewan for their leadership and support. https://lnkd.in/eUcvqH-p
