Amid tightening venture capital markets, DC is stepping up to support its local startups with a city-backed $26 million venture fund. Called the DC Venture Capital Fund, it’s a “fund of funds” that will invest in early-stage companies, particularly those led by underrepresented founders, in a bid to strengthen the district’s innovation ecosystem.
