Team OC Mentors

As a child, I remember layering up with whatever I could find—socks on my hands for gloves and as many shirts and pants as possible—just to play in the snow. Those memories remind me to never forget where I came from and to always pay it forward. Today, I am deeply grateful for the incredible generosity of our partners, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Locker Room 345 and my dear friend Kim Myers and Steve Franklin, for their donation of winter items. A special thanks to Eiklor Flames for receiving this product via Este’s truck and to everyone who made this possible including Steve Hopper for making the connection with Team OC to Eiklor Flames so delivery could be made. This one-time donation will allow us to provide warmth to so many in our community, including the Team OC Mentees. Together, we’re helping ensure that no child has to face the cold unprepared and are grateful to be able to walk behind Coats for Kids with support. I feel truly blessed every day to be part of something bigger—thank you for helping us make a difference. Let’s never forget where we come from and always find ways to pay it forward.

Teen Chefs Against Hunger: Serving Solutions is one of the most impactful initiatives Team OC has had the honor of partnering on with our local schools. Watching a young teen light up with excitement as they learn to prep meals, cook, and feed their families is nothing short of transformative. It bridges gaps and creates opportunities that go far beyond what words can express. Together, we are breaking the cycle of hunger and building a brighter, sustainable future. This program continues to thrive and grow thanks to the unwavering support of our community, dedicated teachers, and generous partners. A special thank you to Reagan Wampler and Old National Bank for sponsoring tonight’s meal. Your belief in this mission is helping us change lives. Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to announce that Spring Valley High School will launch their program in January 2025, thanks to the support of Hills Trucking, a grant from REMC, and contributions from the high school. Paoli High School will also kick off its program in 2025, made possible by Hills Trucking and another generous REMC grant. If you’d like to be part of this incredible movement to fight hunger by investing in our youth, we would love to hear from you. Here is the video for Flatline's new single! We share this out of respect for a man who inspired and invested so much into his community. Written during the final chapter of his battle with cancer, this song was born out of our friend's deep love for his family. Knowing that his time was limited, he poured his heart into these lyrics for his wife and kids. It was his way of saying all the things he feared he wouldn't be there to say in person - words of encouragement, comfort, and unending love. Determined to leave something lasting for his family, he reached out to his closest friends, to bring his song to life. We understood the significance of his request and felt his urgency. Heaven's Front Porch and its video are meant to be a final gift, a way for him to be present in the lives of his family even after his death.
