It's no secret that some states are safer than others when it comes to our roads. Some of the factors behind this? Gaps in traffic safety laws. Nine states including Idaho, Missouri and Wyoming lack adequate laws surrounding seat belts and distracted driving. States that currently do not permit red-light cameras and automated speed enforcement are also encouraged to change rule-making on these enforcement measures.
