𝐇𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 – 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐚, 𝐍𝐂 What an incredible day of teamwork and unity! 31 people, 11 cars, came together from #Charlotte, #Greenville, and #Atlanta—with volunteers with roots from America, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine—all for one purpose: Helping the people of Western North Carolina recover from the devastating floods. Huge thanks to #HHH (Hans Heinrich Hilgenstock) for rallying us all together with a shared mission. We spent the day deep in the woods, removing debris and cleaning up massive piles of wood and branches. The flood was so powerful that it uprooted entire homes, scattering trash and personal belongings everywhere. Witnessing the devastation was humbling but even more inspiring was seeing the spirit of community and solidarity in action. I am grateful to have been part of this #VolunteeringDay and #GetTheHandDirty. The video shows a summary of the day. Thanks, Mark E., for joining me from Atlanta!

Today is day 3 of #IMTS2024, but it is also the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. In remembrance of that day and those we lost, Peter Eelman began the day with a moment of silence followed by a moving rendition of the National Anthem, sung by Jim Cornelison Anthem singer for the Chicago Blachawks. We were also luck to hear about defense in manufacturing from Rear Admiral Todd Weeks, Program Executive Officer at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). We remember the fallen and honor the lost today. We hope you enjoy day 3 of IMTS2024 because we are thankful for you all!
