Taft-Mills Group recently welcomed participants from ECU’s Rural Community Capacity Program (RC-2) along with members of Greenville's Community Development team for a tour of TMG’s Arlington Trace Apartments. This newly completed affordable housing community, located at the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and Dickinson Avenue, represents a $34 million investment in the area. It serves families with household incomes at or below 60% of the Area Median Income in Pitt County, with specific units set aside for veterans and survivors of domestic violence. Currently in its lease-up phase, the tour offered guests a look at residential units and insight into the structure and impact of affordable housing in the community. #GreenvilleNC #AffordableHousing

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Ribbing Cutting Ceremony Celebrates New Affordable Housing Community Greenville, NC – Greenville, NC-based Taft-Mills Group will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 27th to celebrate the recent completion of their newest affordable housing community, Arlington Trace. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Arlington Trace which is located on Dickinson Avenue near the intersection with Arlington Boulevard (Physical Address: 1200 Tarrington Way, Greenville, NC 27834) The recently completed community will provide 180 new-construction units that will serve residents who earn 60% or less of Pitt County’s Area Median Income. Developed and owned by Taft-Mills Group, Arlington Trace represents a $31.7 million dollar investment in the community that will provide much-needed affordable rental housing. Arlington Trace was funded in part with tax credits through the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (“NCHFA”). In addition, the City of Greenville and the North Carolina Office of Recovery & Resiliency provided supplemental funding in support of the new community. Arlington Trace features spacious units, an exercise facility, computer room, outdoor seating areas, a picnic shelter and playground. Every apartment is built to Energy Star standards to help reduce resident’s overall utility costs.
