  • We are thrilled to welcome to Cathleen and Abraham to the Synergy family! Cathleen brings a wealth of expertise as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist. Her passion lies in working with children, a sentiment shared by her therapy dog, Abraham! If your child or teen has been struggling with sleep, academic challenges, difficulties in friendships, or socializing post-pandemic, now is the perfect time to schedule an appointment with Cathleen. Cathleen utilizes art to help children express what may be hard to express with their words. Abraham is also there to offer comfort and companionship, snuggling up with children as they navigate their emotions. Visit our website to learn more about Cathleen at her bio! You can schedule an appointment with her on our website or shoot us a DM!

  • In honor of Valentine’s Day and the season of love, we wanted to share some insights from therapists on 4 things you should never say to your partner: 💘Generalizations - “You always” or “You never” Kier Gaines, a licensed therapist, advises against these sweeping statements as they tend to overlook your partner's efforts. Instead, stay present by expressing your observations. Try saying, “I’ve noticed you’re not helping with the kids; here’s why it’s bothering me” 💘Deflections - “Yes, but” Psychologist Alexandra Solomon warns against responding with a caveat, which may invalidate your partner’s concerns. Instead, reflect on your partner's words and feelings by saying, “What I’m hearing from you is..” 💘Comparison’s - “You should be more like __” Comparing your partner to others is never a great strategy, says Gaines. The underlying message here is that they are the problem in the relationship. Instead, focus on your needs and avoid chipping away at trust. 💘Dismissals - “You’re overreacting” Dr. Solomon emphasizes that no one person is the arbiter of emotional responses. Instead of dismissing, ask your partner to tell you exactly what they’re having a hard time with. Looking for a new way to connect with your partner or loved one this Valentine's Day? Join us at the office for yoga and bring your partner (or friend!) for free! Follow this link to sign up for any class in February and a free pass will automatically be added to your registration - https://lnkd.in/gBig7tkm

  • 🗣 HR Professionals Do you feel helpless when an employee needs mental health services, but cannot connect with a counselor through your EAP? EAP's are a fantastic way to support your employees, but can often fall short on employee mental health. This is due to EAP companies not being able to keep up with their directories because of the large volume of providers they work with. Instead, try partnering with Synergy Wellbeing and our Employee Wellbeing Program. We're a local therapy office with all of the perks of a small office but a big enough staff of counselors to support your employees. As a partner, you will have direct access to our CEO, Sue Mosher, for issues that arrive quickly. Our Employee Wellbeing program can be offered alongside your EAP or can stand on it's own with Employee Wellbeing Workshops, HR & Management support, and Mindful Movement classes! Explore a local and holistic option for employee mental health, DM us to learn more!

  • Are you Experiencing the January Blues ? As we enter a new year, it’s crucial to acknowledge the challenges our employees face during the transition back to work after the holidays. From financial stress to post-holiday exhaustion, coupled with colder weather and earlier nights, the beginning of the year can be overwhelming. To foster a positive and productive atmosphere, here are some thoughtful strategies: Ditch the new years resolution talk! During the colder months our natural inclination is to conserve energy. If possible save big goal planning for the spring when employees are naturally feeling more energized and excited. Keep recognizing the accomplishments from last year! While it’s tempting to focus solely on the future, keep celebrating the successes from last year. During staff meetings and around the office highlight big and small wins from last year. This positive reinforcement not only boosts morale, but also reminds employees of their contributions, fostering a sense of accomplishment and motivation. Encourage a routine for stability! Amidst the “january lull”, establishing a routine is a powerful tool for re-regulating our bodies and minds. Whether it’s organizing your workspace upon arrival or ensuring everyone takes their lunch breaks, encourage employees to adopt health routines both at work and in their personal lives. Mental health professionals emphasize the positive impact of a steady routine on overall wellbeing.

  • Still thinking about our New Year's ResolYOUtion event! Thank you to everyone who joined us to welcome 2024 with relaxation and rejuvenation! The energy was so good, and we're overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who was present. A special shoutout to our amazing partners at Humble Warrior Collective for hosting two yoga classes that focus on mindful movement and breathing! We love working with Humble Warrior Collective because they provide trauma informed yoga classes. This means that our classes are safe for anyone who has experienced trauma, has an injury, or needs special accommodations. We truly believe yoga should be a practice that is accessible to everyone and we love that Humble Warrior Collective makes that possible in Tulsa! We would also like the thank Andrew at Dancing Crane acupuncture and our in house massage therapists for providing free services at our event. We offer acupuncture and massage therapy out of our office and at our wellbeing events because we believe that healing should include your mind and body! We can't wait for our next wellbeing event 🥳 Stay tuned for more information or sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop!

  • Interested in attending New Year’s Day ResolYOUtion, but not sure which aspect of the event you should attend? Wellbeing Workshops: Wellbeing Workshops will be 45 minute talks with Owner, Sue Mosher. Sue has over twenty years experience in the health industry and is the innovative mind behind Synergy Wellbeing. There will be three wellbeing workshops throughout the day with topics covering sleep, sobriety, and general self-care. If you have been exploring any of these topics for 2024, join Sue as she will share insights with you based on knowledge and research! Massage & Acupuncture: Before or after your wellbeing workshop, schedule a free 15-minute chair massage or pop in for free group acupuncture. Andrew with Dancing Crane Acupuncture, who practices out of our Synergy office, will be offering a free acupuncture experience. For 30 minutes after each movement class, Andrew will be offering group acupuncture in our movement space. If you have never tried acupuncture and have been curious if it could be a good self-care practice for you, this is the perfect chance to try it out! Acupuncture is beneficial for pain and stress relief and you can experience results with just thirty minutes of sitting with the needles. Mindful Movement: Looking for some movement on your New Year’s Day? Join us for one of our mindful movement yoga or Qigong classes! As always our classes are designed for relaxation and wellbeing. So, there will be no challenging poses or sequences. Classes are appropriate for all experience levels and for anyone with injuries or special accommodations. Join us for a wellbeing workshop, then stay for yoga and acupuncture or just pop in for a yoga class in between football games! This is a pick your own day of self-care, so feel free to pop-in when you want or just drop by for a cookie and to say happy New Year! 🥳

  • Along with movement classes and wellbeing workshops we will also be offering body services at our New Year's ResolYOUtion event! We will have two massage therapists offering 15-min chair massages all day! Grab a chair massage after yoga or on your way out for an extra touch of self-care. We will also have THREE chances to try acupuncture with @dancingcraneacup. Acupuncture will be offered in a group setting after each of our movement classes. This will allow those who are taking a movement class to stay in their comfortable spot for acupuncture. And will allow those who are not taking a movement class to join group acupuncture! Group acupuncture schedule: 11:00 am 12:30 pm 2:00pm Register for the event ahead of time or just drop in and say hi! https://lnkd.in/gGZ_Ks2C
