Connecting and Supporting the Brain Injury Community.

About us

At Synapse, we believe that connecting with others is one of the most powerful forms of medicine. Synapse is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing connections for individuals with brain injury and raising awareness about brain injury. We accomplish this through a network of passionate student leaders at universities across the United States. Synapse is guided by community, advocacy and the principles of neuroscience. Through peer support group meetings and buddy programs held at chapters around the country, Synapse provides a strong social support network to combat the isolation individuals with brain injury often face. Synapse conferences and lectures held by physicians and researchers on the latest advances in the field allow both individuals with brain injury and members of the greater community to stay informed. Synapse is continuously working toward improving care for brain injury through collaboration with physicians and community partners. Synapse relies on student volunteers and generous donors to fund our peer support groups, buddy program, and educational events. Join us as we cultivate a powerful social support network for individuals with brain injury!
