Can I make a suggestion if you find yourself answering the same questions over and over? Take the time to write a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) post, it could be a Blog post or a page on your website. Write down the top questions you find yourself answering and open up Google Doc, Word, your notes app, email, whatever you use. Answer the questions and save that file. Reclaim your time because it is more valuable than money. Why? Because you can make more money, you can't make more time.

Question: When is the last time you updated your Contacts or if you have one, your phone book/rolodex? I'll wait!!! If you are like most people it's been a while, if at all. Business owners seem to carry that habit over into their business. One of the worst feelings is to see an old client and discover they had a need for a service/product you offer but forgot they could have gotten it from you because you've been out of touch for a while. You should keep your Contacts as up to date as possible. It really isn't hard to do. Make the effort to go through the alphabet in your CRM, Contacts or rolodex twice a year and make contact with your contacts. Update the contact info as needed.

The other day a friend posted that she had been hacked and the hacker wiped out a bank account. We all think it can't happen to us....until it does. What if that had been her client's data? What steps are you taking to secure your data? If you are a business owner you should think about securing your data and that of your clients/customers. Securing your data is easy when you have the right processes that you consistently follow AND tools. A few of the tools I use are: LastPass so I can share passwords with contractors and temp employees, pCloud for backing up my and my client's important data files, and Google Drive for secure cloud storage of files.
